Work Platform
The Work Platform or Safety Cage is an attachment for the forklift. It
should only be utilised in conjunction with safety interlocks and connections. The Work
Platform is used to gain access to heights for maintenance or installation work. Vehicles
should be stationary when the platform is in use. The Work Platform must have appropriate
railing and safety backing to avoid clothing or extremities from reaching the mast and
moving parts.
Consult your vehicle manufacturer for details and authorisation. Never use
pallets, loose platforms or substitutes - safety comes first.
Persons using the Work Platform are protected from reaching the mast and
other moving components with a tightly meshed guard, at least 1.83 m tall.
