Wide-Base Tyre

Construction type of pneumatic tyres, for which the relation of side wall height to tyre width is 0.7 maximum and which are normally constructed as high-pressure tyres. Widebase tyres are made as cross-ply tyres or radial tyres. Their outstanding feature as compared to standard tyres with the same diameter and air pressure is their larger tyre tread.
