Residual capacity
Residual Carrying Capacity
Remaining carrying capacity because of carrying capacity limitations in contrast to the rated capacity. The rated carrying capacity is determined at a defined lift and defined load centre distance. An increased load centre distance results in a limitation of the rated carrying capacity. Usually the load centre distance also changes when using attachments, in addition to that the dead weight of the attachment reduces the rated carrying capacity. However, limitations of the carrying capacity are also the result of high lifting heights because of the flexibility of the mast respectively the longer load leverage resulting from that. The remaining residual carrying capacities must be indicated on a capacity label that must be attached in the viewing area of the driver. Also the residual carrying capacities in dependence on the lifting height are documented in a carrying capacity diagramm. The residual carrying capacities are determined by the manufacturer through static test, in which the dynamic forces are simulated.
