Rear Wheel Drive

Arrangement principle of the drive wheels. In lift trucks in three-wheel construction the wheel facing away from the load is driven, in four-wheel constructions the wheels facing away from the load. The rear-wheel drive is used because of its superior lever action especially in situations where pallets must be shifted around in tight loading spaces, for example, when loading/unloading lorries.
