Permanent strain limit
Permanent Strain Limit
Performance limit for physical work where the pulse frequency remains constant. This frequency is about 30 to 35 beats per minute above the measured pulse at rest in working position. The working position is the position required for carrying out the work, e.g. seating or standing. When the permanent strain limit is exceeded, recreation periods are required to reach normal pulse frequency, in order to keep fatigue respectively the fatigue factor as low as possible.
