Lead Battery

Prevailing energy reservoir for industrial trucks. Compared to other batteries it is more powerful, less expensive, and needs less space (volume). The disadvantage of the lead battery is its high dead weight per volume unit. This disadvantage is partially converted into an advantage by using the battery weight as counterweight for cantilevered lift trucks. Lead batteries are available as two construction types in pasted-plate technology and tubular-plate technology.
