Order and supply strategy for e.g. small parts in production logistics according to the "empty box" principle. In production, for example, two boxes, containers, pallets with small parts are positioned within reach of the workplace. When the first box is empty, the order for the contents of a new box is triggered, while the second box is processed. The lot size is calculated in such a way that the period for production and delivery are identical to the period of consumption or processing.
