Identification System
The Identification System is a computer generated
control system for all loads within a warehouse. All loads (container, pallets, cartons)
as well as all pallet locations and aisles are identified through bar codes. The driver of
a lift truck can read these bar codes with a hand scanner and transmits this information
to the warehouse control computer.
The control computer will issue orders where the
identified load should be deposited. The transmission of the information between the
control computer and the forklift truck is done via infrared light - or via radio
frequency. The Identification System locates wanted loads within seconds, it gives up to
the minute and precise inventory and it reduces the working time within the warehouse
considerable.
