Hydrostatic Drive
The Hydrostatic Drive is used in IC-engine forklift
trucks. It is mostly found in All Terrain Trucks.
The Hydrostatic Drive consist of a high-pressure piston pump which is powered directly
by the IC-engine of the truck. This pump is connected via high-pressure hydraulic hoses to
the wheel motors (hydro-motor). The lift of the motor pistons is transformed into a
rotating motion inside of the wheel motors. The rotating motion is transmitted by gear
reduction to the drive wheels of the truck.
