Hour Meter
The integrated hour meter is used to maintain service
intervals on various components. Some meters capture only times when the motor is in use
(primarily found on electric vehicles) while others display the overall time the vehicle
is in operation even if the vehicle is not in use but the key switch is left in the ON
position.
Depending on the vehicle type - each individual function may have its own independent
time measurement.
Hour Meters are generally used to provide the means to gauge maintenance periods.
