Ground Contact Pressures

This term refers to the load imposed over the contact area of the tyre, quoted in kilopascals, kg/mm² , Ib/in² or Newtons/mm² . For a given truck and load, a manufacturer can quote the ground pressures as applicable to the type of tyres used.
