Emission
Emission
Transmission of rays, waves, and particles from materials, technical processes, or industrial equipment into the environment. In environmental technology the term "emission" designates solid, liquid, and gaseous substances that usually contaminate air and/or water, the transmission of radioactive radiation, light beams or heat radiation as well as noise and vibrations. These emission can have negative effects on humans, animals, and plats. Emissions lead to immission. Defining emission limit values results in immission control. For example, industrial trucks with combustion engines produce emissions in form of noise and exhaust gas. The pollutant concentration is reduced by means of exhaust gas purifiers.
