Construction Type
Construction principle of industrial trucks. Distinctions are made between wheel-supported and cantilevered industrial trucks. Wheel-supported industrial trucks are all pallet trucks which lift the transport unit clear of the ground for horizontal transport by means of their lift unit. Platform trucks, also called wheel-supported stackers, are equipped with a mast. They need additional stabilisers (load wheel arms) that are either mounted below the load-carrying unit or a platform or drive around the loading device as wide-track stackers. In that case they are equipped with forged steel forks, just like the cantilevered forklift trucks.
