Axle load distribution
Axle Load Distribution
Distribution of the load to the wheel axles of an industrial truck in laden or unloaded condition. For industrial trucks that transport and lift their load within the wheelbase area, both axles are loaded relatively evenly even in loaded condition. For forklift trucks, i.e. counterbalanced lift trucks, the load on the front axle is higher after load pick-up. In loaded condition the rear axle is relieved to an extent where road-holding is maintained for the steering and drive wheels and the stability prerequisites are fulfilled.
